Lanterna Mágica intends to promote and disseminate the world animation market, with a schedule of international competitive shows, one of short films and one of feature films, which will award the filmmakers in various categories, between June 13 and 18, 2017 in the city of Goiânia (Goiás, Brazil).

Shows for children and teenagers were specially designed for students in public schools, in order to arouse interest and classroom discussion on the themes of the films. Going beyond the exhibitions, the aim of the festival is to promote debates and meetings that contribute directly to the formation and valorization of the animation market, projecting it internationally.

I – The inscriptions will be open until April 24, 2017.

II – Short films with a maximum duration of 20 minutes and feature lengths over 50 minutes with a premiere date after January 1, 2015, are eligible. Films must be in animation genre made in any kind of technique.

III – Hybrid films will also be accepted provided they use animation techniques in at least 25% of their duration.

IV – The person in charge of the registration must fill out the registration form available on the site

V – The responsible person must inform a link and password (when applicable) for the download and viewing of the material on a online platform such as Vimeo or Youtube.

VI – All the films enrolled must be subtitled in Portuguese, English or Spanish, with subtitles embedded in the file for viewing and download. Movies originally spoken in Portuguese do not require subtitles and those who do not have dialogues do not apply to the rule.
