Turku Animated Film Festival aka TAFF is the freshest and loveliest international animated film festival in Finland. We are currently looking for original, bold, uncompromising & inventive animated shorts under 30 minutes for our competitions.

The films selected for International Competition and International Student Film Competition will compete for Grand Prix, Best Professional Film, Best Student Film, Tough Eye award and Audience award. There are also National Competition and TAFF Junior Competition categories.

In addition to the competition programmes, the festival presents a seductive selection of special programme screenings, workshops, discussions, exhibitions and especially parties.

TAFF will be a five-day celebration of the creative mind and the art of animation. The main venue is a beautifully restored old factory milieu by the River Aura in Turku, Finland, where we are expecting to host dozens of international professionals of animation, and a vast local audience. We invite one filmmaker per selected film to take part in the festivities.
