The World Cinema Film Festival is a celebration of culture and community all over the world. We ask filmmakers to submit a short film, documentary or animation on the theme ‘what does culture mean to you?’ for a chance to win Final Draft 11, trophy, screening at the festival and most importantly meetings with industry pro’s.

The festival is open internationally and held in Barking, London in June where there will be industry speakers, food from all over the world, exhibition stands and services as well as award ceremony for the winners. Any winner’s who aren’t based in London will still receive their meetings via Skype or in person depending where they and the mentor are based. We will also be showcasing short films from around the world that reflect the diverse community in the East London borough where an amazing 137 different languages are spoken.

Our current mentors for the animation category are:

Jellyfish Pictures (Han Solo: A Star Wars Story, The Innocence)
Suz Loshin (Head of Development at Pixar – Incredibles 2, Finding Dory)
Elizabeth Martin and Lauren Hynek (writers of the new live action Mulan movie)

Year established: 2018
