The Canberra Short Film Festival showcases the best films from around Australia and around the world. It is a competition based festival with awards and sponsored prizes in a number of different categories.

We have a dedicated animation section and also accept relevant animated films in our other categories such as music video, documentary and experimental.

The event runs for 2 exciting weeks in venues right across Canberra, the national capital. This is an intimate and fun festival where audience and film makers can connect and exchange ideas easily. Screening sessions are often enhanced with a social component including, forums, Q and A’s and of course, a few parties.
