Previously a touring festival (International Festival of Cinema and Technology) rebranded in 2022 to reflect our new home in Portland, Oregon and our additional focus on all-things animation. In 2023, the festival screened 68 animated shorts and features and featured a special presentation from legendary animator and two-time Oscar nominee Bill Plympton. Animation categories include “Best 2D” “Best 3D” “Best Animated Feature” “Best Object Animation” “Best Animated Comedic Short,” “Best Animated Short Short” and more.

Requirements:
Films whose productions were completed after January 1, 2022 are eligible. There are no premiere restrictions for 2024. If your film has been screened online as part of a ticketed film festival, you are still eligible.

By submitting a project to the festival, you agree that you reserve the rights to do so and are allowing the festival the rights to screen the film for a live audience. The decisions made by our judges and jury are final.
